The Blacksmith Shop and Storage Facility was completed in the Summer of 2017. The front portion will be an actual blacksmith shop with periodic demonstrations and the back part and up stairs is for storage. Much of our storage abilities was in the basement of the Elk Grove House and Stage Stop Museum, but when the Tom Russell Research Library was opened, we needed a place to house much of our historic furniture and multitude of event supplies. The plans and construction was spearheaded by board members Jim Entrican and Dennis Buscher. Nice job!
