Court Dockets
Sitting on the Heritage Park grounds is the restored San Joaquin Township Justice Court, which served Elk Grove and the surrounding areas from 1911 through the early 1950s. We now have over 3,000 original court dockets from the Justice Court. The dockets cover everything and everybody that passed through the court including felonies, misdemeanors, traffic and civil cases. If your family lived in Elk Grove or passed through Elk Grove and the surrounding areas chances are they are listed in the court database. This database is now open for public research.
