Local resident and author Elaine Faber spoke on “History to Mystery: How I used WWII history in my novels” Free and Open to the public.

Roberta Tanner and Louis each manned booths at the Ancestry teaching event
February 7 – Mardi Gras Madness
Several society members bought a table to support the “Uplift the People of Elk Grove” Fundraiser. Annaclare Entrican won the Grand Prize.
February 12 – Chamber of Commerace Leadership Class Presentation
Jim showed a video and gave a presentation in the hopes to earn a grant from the 2026 Leadership Class who annually takes on a project. We have hopes they will select the Rhoads School stable make-over as their next project.
February 16 – Historical Speaker Series at the museum
Lincoln Highway Association member Andrew Saunders spoke on “ The Historic Lincoln Highway History & Routes in California and the Sacramento Region” Free and Open to the public

Historical Society Big Day Of Giving Chairperson Selene attended the BDOG Mixer.

April 18 – A Taste of Elk Grove
Historical Society members attended the Laguna Sunrise Rotary Clubs’s “2026 Taste of Elk Grove” fundraiser.
