We had the good fortune of being loaned a large collection of Lewis & Clark artifacts from John Hess a collector from Stockton. It was displayed in the ballroom upstairs in the museum for the entire 2017 year.
A local connection is that one of the members of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, Alexander H. Willard is buried in the Franklin Cemetery. After the expedition he came to the Franklin area, raised his family and contributed to the area.
